I think this cushion is very important for people suffering from Prostatitis. Sitting is very irritating, when suffering from a sickness like this. This cushion made my life so much more relaxing, especially with the center hole and the warmer right under the prostate area.

I was diagnosed in 2008 with severe bacterial prostatitis. I was bed ridden for about a month and could not sit upright for months after that. I tried many things to get comfortable and never found anything that worked. The Biolectrix Prostate Cushion was a savior. I now have two of them. One for my office job and the other for home. To this day (four years later) I continue to sit on these cushions as they provide extreme comfort especially for long days at work. Everybody at work thinks the cushion is for back problems and people continually ask me how my back is doing.

The cushion, though I suppose costly for the use I was putting it to, was worth the money just through the independence it gave me while waiting for my operation.
I was probably unusual in that I did not have a long standing prostate problem but suffered from sudden onset acute urine retention, believed to have been caused by bacterial prostatitis. As a result I was catheterised for a period of almost 4 months whilst ultimately awaiting a TURP operation. The main problem I experienced was that due to the catheter I was unable to sit up straight without bladder spasms or leaking past the catheter, I suppose mainly due to the catheter route to the bladder. Whilst this wasn’t too much of a problem at home it prevented me from driving. By using the prostate cushion in the car this completely alleviated the problem and I found that I could drive fairly normally, albeit at a higher driving position than before.
